Simple Ways To Live In Costa Rica
Costa Rica is a beautiful country situated in Central America between Nicaragua to the north and Panama to the south. It’s home to the Pacific
Ocean and the Caribbean Sea and exotic wildlife, mountains, rainforests, volcanoes, hills, valleys and beaches. No wonder many people want to
leave the hectic life in North America and go to live in Costa Rica.
There are many ways for you to go and live there. It depends also on what you want to do. In fact this is the
place the most Americans congregate outside their own shores. Many people go there on holiday and fall in love with the place. They come back
and start a business or retire in their part of paradise.
If you decide this is the place for you, then the first thing you need to do is find out which part of the
country you would like to live in. There’s so much information on the internet but nothing compares to actually going there and finding out
yourself. You can check on the local community, see what amenities the place has to offer (where is the nearest bank, hospital, etc.) and
contact other ‘ex pats’ that live in the area.
Renting a place in the area is also to be recommended. You can live there simply and cheaply for a while and
breathe in the place you want to be your home. If you decide to go ahead, you will have already made good friends and know much about life in
the part of Costa Rica you want to settle in.
If you want to purchase property, there are many real estate companies – their staff also
conversant in English. Not only will they show you homes and land, but help you with the procedure of buying your home, putting you in touch
with a good English speaking lawyer as well.
You will now understand that in most cases, if you live in Costa Rica, life is good but
simple. There is far less stress and life is definitely to be enjoyed. The food is usually organic and very fresh – especially the seafood.
You can usually drink good quality water everywhere and the fruit is just out of this world.
To live in Costa Rica means enjoying the sunset and the beauty everywhere, eating wonderfully
locally grown fresh organic food and meeting and getting to know new friends. This is truly paradise.
